Yes smoked for 7 years...quit a year ago after third attempt and has not turned back ever since.

yes.., yes I do and not proud of it. Was 8 yrs old when I started sneaking my smokes from my parents (I'm now 63). They quit when I was around 20 (a little late to be roll-models for us kids), but I was addicted. Been trying to quit the last 15+ yrs and successfully cut down from 2 & 3 packs a day to a half pack a day for the last 6 or 7 yrs. Just can't seem to kick the nasty crap totally. Started a smoke study thing with the CKRA in KY. You get a 3 out of 4 chance of getting meds to help you quit, but I believe I am the 1 out of the 4 that is getting the placebo (no meds), because I feel absolutely no affects as they describe I would be experiencing. Guess I'm still on my own. :(

No, I have never smoked. My father was a heavy smoker which caused me to have adult asthma. I have always hated the smell and therefore never even tried smoking.

I don't its expensive and unhealthy. I feel sorry for those that do and want to quit and can't because its so addictive. I have herd so many smokers say just say they despise the day they picked the first one up.

i was out west and there were forest fires and i wondered if anyone has sued big tobacco for all the fires caused by butts going out windows of drivers? Maybe a firefighter tax on smokes? Watch how many dirvers toss lit butts out windows of moving cars.. most cars dont have ash trays either now.

Years ago in college, someone walked through the student union, handing out sample packs of 4 cigarettes. I took a pack of Salems. Smoked all four; got sick four times. Decided my body was telling me something! Remembered that lesson thereafter when stronger substances were offered.

Have never smoked or had the desire to smoke. I always thought it smelled bad on other people's clothes (including my mother).

Yep, unfortunately, for over 40 years. I'll pay the price when the time comes. Cant imagine money spent, aside from what I've done to my body.
STUPID is, STUPID does. Got to add one thing, never smoked in house or car with my children around. I don't even like second smoke myself, go figure.

Years ago -- it was 'cool' to smoke in high school and we didn't know the dangers then.
I quit over 20 years ago. Was diagnosed with COPD last year.
If I knew then what I know now....
