Zipcars offer a match for consumers who need a car... but not all the time!

GasBuddy Blog --
One day you might be one of those folks who have a need for a car, on occasion, but, want to avoid the cost and hassle of car ownership, maintenance and insurance, etc. Maybe you're on a fixed income and budget tightening means you're looking to reduce your expenses.

Or, you might be a student who needs to get around, but doesn't want any obligations other than the one house plant you watered in your dorm. (And even that is suffering.)

Maybe you're living in a city like San Francisco, New York or Boston where the cost of car ownership and parking is beyond ridiculous.

If you know people like this, then they should probably check out Zipcar. It just might be a practical option whose time has arrived...

Check out WECAR, same concept but a whole lot cheaper. Zip car is expensive.

Sounds kind of like time shares in a condo. Only with the cars I have to wonder how they can keep them clean and running well? It seems they have less control over the cars. That then makes you depend on the people who buy the Zip cars plans...

Zipcars work for higher population areas but not so in other areas. There are many opportunities for mass transit, light rail or using a bicycle to get where I need to go.
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe and reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!
