Hi, BIG congratulations on having the dedication to post for 2,200 consecutive days. WOW!! Keep up the great work and Good Luck in the future! Want to become buddies??? Warren :-)

Part 1: Many in Kingston have jumped on the Cash Price GIMMICK which is REALLY FRUSTRATING!!! My observation is that some stations like Hess ALWAYS have competitive prices with NO higher price for Credit Cards, but since the Cash Price GIMMICK prices have become popular around here, many other stations don't actually lower their prices for cash, but actually raise their prices for credit cards!!! Very few drivers even have cash to pay, so they either drive away without filling, or get scammed by the GIMMICK into paying the higher credit card price. (Previous GB polls have confirmed the no-fill or even drive away response.)

Part 2: When I shop GB Mobile for the lowest price and spend time and money driving out of my way for the better price, it is lately VERY FRUSTRATING to find that the posted lower price is actually a Cash GIMMICK price. I've been deceived, and now I have WASTED my TIME and MONEY falling for the GIMMICK that GB displayed/advertised! GB requests posting the cash price instead of the credit price (even though other discounts should be posted with the PRE-Discount amount), and suggests to optionally add a comment when a credit card price is higher, but GB Mobile (m.newyorkstategasprices.com anyway) does NOT show comments! And if comments are optional, how is one to know which price is actually posted? So why bother with optional/hidden comments?? It is simply confusing now, and almost useless for price comparison.

Part 3: If gas stations post only the lower price without the "Cash" comment, they are guilty of Deceptive Advertising! How can GB encourage/allow posting lower GIMMICK Cash Prices without comment and NOT be considered Deceptive?? Besides, I have not seen even ONE station with a lower cash price that actually would save me money with the cash price. I use a Chase Credit Card that rebates me 3% for all fuel purchases, so I am ALWAYS SAVING money when I purchase fuel with my 3% Rebate credit card! (And some other brand credit cards rebate 5%!!) Gas around here is more than $3.60/gal. and a 3% rebate would be more than 10 cents/gal - MORE than double (or triple) most cash price discounts of 3 to 5 cents/gal.! Get a 3% or higher rebate credit card, avoid the Cash Price Gimmick, and save MORE money!
