• Please can I have your vote for my article, "Deep in the Amazon, a Tiny Tribe Is Beating Big Oil " Can you also enlist others to vote for it as well? For anyone who needs it, on the main page, on the left side, under "all recent news" click on it and you will see the article and can vote for it.

By-the-way, most likely we’re all going up on gas prices. We had just started a downward trend here, but that’s over now. We had three or four stations down to $3.13 a gallon, now they're back up to $3.33 and $3.35 a gallon. The last one just went back up yesterday. One station in Miami is already $3.89 a gallon. I'd get gassed up now as it's going up more. I wish I could have told everyone yesterday, but I couldn't make it online other than to post prices in the morning. Sorry. You'll most likely see the average at $3.51 to $3.59 there soon. Have a great day and weekend.

"No surge. Just a steady and gradual increase." That's about right. It won't happen initially. They won't export anything but the surplus initially, but then they'll do like they're doing with oil and gas. They DO export some of our oil already, and we need it! They don't export much, but nonetheless, it's out of what we need. The same with gasoline, we export twice as much as we import and that keeps the price of fuel here higher than what it should be. Even if we build two more refineries, it won't make a difference, as we need about four or five more in different location rather than just here in the southern states.

"Rest assured, the price at the pump will continue to rise." Truer words were never spoken!

NR - I've been looking at those very HT's over on Amazon. Prices start at around $34. That's a lot less than the $300 I paid for the Yaesu VX-5 back in the year 2000. Thanks. Of course the VX-5 covered many more bands. :)

Regarding the Oil Pipeline article. Even if the oil is shipped overseas it helps the US. 1) It helps with the balance of trade deficit and helps keep the value of the dollar up. 2) It brings jobs to the US and helps keep Americans employed and paying taxes in the US. 3) It helps with the worlds supply of oil and gas, increasing worlds supply helps keep the prices down.
