• Please can I have your vote for my article, "Deep in the Amazon, a Tiny Tribe Is Beating Big Oil " Can you also enlist others to vote for it as well? For anyone who needs it, on the main page, on the left side, under "all recent news" click on it and you will see the article and can vote for it.

care to be buddies?

by ItisAJeepThing  Mar 25, 2013

Thanks for becoming my newest buddy. For some reason, I thought that we couldn't reprocess fuel or weapons due to some treaty with the Russians or something. Seemed pretty stupid, but then most of politics is. Also, I thought that France was high up on the list of total number of reactors, or maybe they just generate a lot of their electricity by using nuclear power plants (75% ??). Warren {:D)

Hi, You made a great comment on today's news item: "Dominion CEO Warns Against Utility Reliance on Natural Gas". We need to move away from dirty coal, but must maintain diversity. Converting warheads to nuclear fuel rods, WHAT A GREAT PLAN!! Want to become buddies??? Warren :-)

You must have taught your son well. Please extend my thanks to him for his service. One of our family members came back home in a box about two months after his daughter was born, at least he did get to see her before he was deployed.

What current science finds expensive can turn out to be cheap tomorrow. Check out all the things that were developed at great expense on space and military programs. I was trained as a computer programmer on something called MOBIDIC, the first Mobile Digital Computer in 1960, (which needed three 42 foot cans, now they are on every desk top and in most every pocket. MOBIDIC cost millions. About 10 years later similar power was available for $395 in a Hewlett Packard HP35, that I purchased for my son.

Turning sea Water into jet fuel sounds wonderful. Some of the comments remind me of the adults making fun of the old Flash Gordon Comic Strips which portrayed Flash Gordon outside of his apace ship but tethered to it by some kind of umbilical cord and maneuvering around powered by his backpack.=== === The Nay-saying Nincompoops are out in force, with comments like, "Sounds like the proverbial perpetual motion machine to me," "Sounds iffy and at what cost," "Sounds expensive and sounds like a negative return on energy," etc. They sound just like the adults of the 1940's when those adults were laughing at my interest in the Flash Gordon Comic Strip.
