Greetings Rambo - thanks for your prayers and well-wishes. It's a day by day thing with the family. My wife, of her three sisters, was the closet to her Dad. She talked to him in some form 2-3 times each day. On what would have been his 82d birthday (9/23) it was a tough day for her. He was in such bad health and his quality of life was significantly low. Although he's now in a better place, the "abruptness" of a loved one's departure is always difficult. I'm doing the supportive thing which sometimes requires only a hug, other times it's listening, while other times it's being quiet. Sorry to hear about your job.

Congratulations on your win!!! What's your approach - how many tickets purchased, per day, etc? Or was it just the "luck of the draw?"

Bud... if you can gimp into that social security check and you have money coming your way, Id work around the home.. and get things in order so that when that cash comes in.. you have some time for a break out here and there..I plan on taking my SS penalty or not as soon as I reach minimum age.. I just have to wait sooo long.. my place forced most of the salary heavies out.. first by cutting fringes, then benefits, raising co-pays and deductions, then changed my work schedule around so much.. they backed me into a lose or lose more situation where I had to resign and take an early out... pissed me off so much.. I have no interest in returning to the work force at 52 at all.. like you said.. bunch of low paying no benifts jobs..... so now 10 years to straggle and hustle till then.. at least I was a saver to match my spending dysfunction best joe

That's a real bummer (if you liked your job..)... but don't sweat it.. a firm handshake and sincere eye contact will land you a better one! Don't be shy... just go for it if you want it.. joe

Mud wants to thank you for being his friend. His Whiteboard privileges were taken away from him by the Administration so I'm doing it for him.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your job bro. I wish I had the money, you'd have one if you'd be willing to move or if I could do something out your way. I hope that you can find one. I don't envy you and you shouldn't envy me either.
