" But you insist that everyone needs to be defined by the average psychology for their sex." No, that's not the same as saying that gender is reflected in psychology. Once again, you argue against a strawman of your own making, GTH

You're welcome, got it by poking around.

"We are not defined primarily by our sex organs." True. But gender is much more than just sex organs. It's psychology as well -- the gender we identify with and how we relate to that one and the opposite one. And why those genders exist and their function is a great big fact, which you as the king of "facts and logic" dismiss. GTH

'And your arguments for it tend to fall apart without the "totally" being implied."' Maybe the word you are groping for is "fundamental". On a broader note, you tend to block out any position that is not your own, on abortion, on marijuana, even on gun rights. ' RJ has spoken, the matter is closed.' GTH

by gas_too_high  May 20, 2014

""Basically, you're claiming that each of us is totally defined by their sexual organs." No, not totally, but gender/sexuality is an essential part of who each of us is. ("Totally" is your strawman. You do that a lot). GTH

by gas_too_high  May 20, 2014

No, it's just that you refuse to consider the evidence that I do offer, such as anatomical differences between men and women. GTH

by gas_too_high  May 20, 2014

'No, I define "rational" as "supported by facts and logic. ' Funny then, how your positions contain neither. Funny also, how you refuse to even consider that someone else besides you just might be right, and that you just might be wrong. GTH

by gas_too_high  May 19, 2014

:"No, it's a fixation I have on the irrationality of your position. " You seem to have a fixation on any position that is not your own, which seems how you define "rationality." That should be evident from how you claim to support the welfare of children, but define unborn children as "non-person humans" and permit their killing. GTH

I always remember Heinlein's quote of Lazarus Long - "Your enemy is never a villain in his own eyes. Keep this in mind; it may offer a way to make him your friend. If not, you can kill him without hate - and quickly." ------------------ Myself I do try to make those who look at things differently from me a friend - I choose to not implement the last part though.... I did try to talk to buzzed. He is illogical to the extreme and I blocked him from further posting on my WB.

Agreed for sure - In reality there is not a whole lot of difference between the two. Beliefs of almost any kind carried to the extreme is harmful for folks.
