Armed robbers hit gas stations hard during holiday season

GasBuddy Blog -- The headlines across the country tell the story. In large cities and small towns alike, gas stations are being robbed at gunpoint and we can only hope that the cashiers and employees who are confronted are able to turn over the cash without injury.

In Michigan alone reports in recent weeks from Grand Rapids, Niles and Detroit suggest that gas station holdups are dominating police blotters... but Detroit may have a lock on it.

In Detroit, robbers with AK-47s hit two gas stations Dec 5th and police there are looking for four suspects and a white Chevy Impala. When a GasBuddy Blog post is submitted by GB staff, it is automatically placed at the top of the 'Top 5 Recent News\GasBuddy Blog' area, where it will remain until the next official blog post is made. This is done purposefully to expose the blog.

The GasBuddy Official Blog is not updated as often as the Daily News Article feature (as the blog is not user driven), in the event you click on a blog article, and it is the same as the previous days article, the blog has not yet seen a new post. Some articles can often remain for a few days (the blog contributors are understandably not required to submit new content over the weekend or during the holidays).

If you've responded to the blog post already, you can choose to either join in on the current discussion at hand, or move on to another news article.

I'd recommend the All Recent News page.

This user driven area of user submitted articles is fairly active with lots of content to respond to.
