GM recalls nearly 69,000 vehicles to prevent 'roll-away' problems

GasBuddy Blog -- Is it my imagination or are there simply a lot more automobile recalls these days than years ago?

Now GM says some of their 2013 model vehicles might not be where you think you left them parked... They could simply roll away. And that includes some pricy wheels like the Cadillac Escalade (figure between $63,000 and $77,000).

The recall affects certain 2013 models of the Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Avalanche and Express. Also included are the GMC Sierra, Savana and Yukon as well as the Cadillac Escalade, according to the Detroit Free Press.

GM says the vehicles may have been built with faulty park lock cables or malformed steering column lock gears. The vehicles can be shifted out of park even if...

This is Not good when your vehicle rolls away and you did not know about it. Better Quality Control and craftsmanship are in order at this auto company. And, you can always use the 'parking brake' when parking. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, vehicle manufactures Produce and the population ‘Drives’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! XII/XXII/MMXII! - The Day After......
