I purchased a CX-5 in October after driving full-size pick-ups for the past 20 years. The switch was difficult at first considering the difference in sizes. But man-o-man, the fuel savings is mind boggling. With a 40/60 mix of highway/city driving I'm averaging 32 mpg.

Green cars are great if you can afford one. Payback in savings of fuel costs goes straight into replacing expensive battery packs.

Skyactiv cars are not Fords. Ford sold their 20% stake at the pit of the Great Recession and retain less than 5% I believe, which is not enough to have any influence over the way the company does business.
