National average begins rising

GasBuddy Blog -- Now that the wrapping is cleaned up, the gifts opened, families heading home, there's one last nugget to be aware of: the national average is beginning to move higher.

It's happened six out of the last seven years: the national average has risen between Christmas Day and January 15, and this year there's no reason to believe now that this won't happen again.

Why? Sometimes its simply hard to find a culprit. This year oil inventories are booming, gasoline inventories have risen sharply in the past few weeks, and the holiday retail season, which feeds the bulls, has been lackluster after all the financial cliff talk.

National average begins rising, some gas stations prices have started to go up. 2012 with the highest average price ever, not good – not good at all!
The US ‘oil and natural gas resources’ belong to the citizens of this country and are to be used by those same citizens! These resources are Not to be exported without taking care of the domestic market first.
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, vehicle manufactures Produce and the population ‘Drives’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

Simply manipulation by speculators. Supply and demand have minor impact on price at the pump today. It is not the oil companies either - their profit margins are only 6% - about the middle of the pack of 200 industries.
