Add Toyota Prius to cars favored by the richest Americans

LA Times -- What are the favorite cars of America's wealthiest families?

If they live in California, put the Toyota Prius hybrid on the list.

Auto-price-information company TrueCar.com compiled a list of the 10 wealthiest ZIP Codes based on Internal Revenue Service data from 1,000 or more 2011 tax returns in each locale, and then looked at the auto registrations in those communities.

The lower priced new Ford C-Max EPA 47 MPG beats the Prius EPA 42 MPG, time to switch...

doesn't surprize me, rich have the money to buy the fancy high priced gas sippers, and the lux - o gas guzzlers.. and in the first place can afford gas no matter what it is? So - It should be the gas sippers should be cheap for the people that don't have much money and let the rich buy the gas guzzlers..

HAH! I have one I bought in 2006 and have been bragging on it ever since. This past Christmas 11 of my gal pals who have rich husbands (and I do mean rich) dropped their other cars for Prius and they are so happy with the little thing. It is terrific and saves money as well as being kind to the planet.

Maybe they are rich because they don't blow their money on expensive cars. The Prius is not as expensive as a lot of cars.
