The oil boom will keep the railroads running at their full carrying capacity even if the pipelines get built.

Good for the deteriorating US rail system but we still need the pipelines.

I'd trust the railroads before I'd trust a pipeline.

The Canadian oil pipeline was also suppose to have a branch to pick up oil from the west & pump it to the East coast area.

We don't have railroad companies here in the U.S.? I thought we were supposed to be creating jobs here. Oh that's right, Obama won the election.

Canadian business ventures sure beat the heck out of our pro-business ventures here in U.S. Of course our so-called leader is either on vacation or out golfing all the time.

Pipelines when possible. Rail otherwise. Trucks for local deliveries.

Sad state of US railroads that a CANADIAN RR has to ship oil from ND to NJ. I know that Grand Trunk RR was taken over by a Canadian RR back aroung 1970.

I don't understand why a Calgary based company is the middleman in American oil fields. Getting the oil to the places where it is needed is a good thing, something the pipelines can't always provide.
