Another load of bull feces from nsdp.
The fact remains, feed costs due to ethanol have risen over 100% over the last couple of years.
Ethanol fans can throw out the most impertinent arguments. It is amazing that for an assumed "savings of 6.7 pennies per gallon of gasoline" can come anywhere close to covering the massive increases we have seen in the cost of foods, damage to engines etc could ever be covered by that.

Tomok I see you have been frequenting the Mad Hatter's Tea Party again. Wha tis he spiking the tea with this time?
Ethanol returns to animal feed(distillers grain) 91% of the protein and nutrients that the unprocessed corn had. Processing corn for animal feed loses about 4% of nutritional value to make it as digestible by animals as distillers grains. Net difference is 5%. Now since ethanol uses 40% of the grain supply, we lose 5% of 40% or 2% of feed. That has very little effect on real cash prices although it gives the speculators something to speculate about.

EPA rejects bid to relax ethanol mandate, a severe drought, less corn produced, higher livestock prices, a fuel that harms gasoline engines and a person in charge that refuses to do the right thing for 'four more years.' Nothing will be done for the population and the country until Sneeky is finally gone and the people that voted for him realize what they have done wrong. Automakers says that E15 is approved for 2013 model vehicles and newer, Not 2012 or older. Why have Ethanol when Big Oil and Big Gas continues to sell fuel and natural gas on the world market for higher prices, there will be NO price reduction for the cost of fuel or natural gas IN the US. 'Coming out of the closet' Sneeky's lousy, smoke and mirrors, lack of jobs, dog and pony show and in the crapper economy, the jobs are Not here. Sneeky's economy is not improving but continues to hurt the population and the job numbers continue to be down! The US ‘oil and natural gas resources’ belong to the citizens of this country and are to be used by those same citizens! Now we find out the 'planned maintenance' at some refineries was fake and they continued to produce fuel during that time. Just so Big Oil could raise the fuel price at the pump more and more and more for their profits. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, vehicle manufactures Produce and the population ‘Drives’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! XII/XXII/MMXII!

We are opposed to the mandate in current law (Renewable Fuels Standard) that forces US refiners to blend ethanol from anywhere into our domestic gasoline supplies. If you are also opposed to the current law that mandates the use of ethanol in our motor vehicle fuel since ethanol is the only viable alternative fuel available in the needed quantity, then let your US representative & senators know of your opposition to any ethanol use as well since only congress can stop this foolish ethanol use.
There will be alternative motor vehicle fuels developed over time that will allow the US to reduce its dependency on non-North American crude oil but ethanol is hardly the answer. If there is no efficient cost effective alternative motor vehicle fuel currently available, one will emerge in the future that does not harm our vehicles, small gasoline tools, marine engines & is compatible with the current pipeline & retail station infrastructure.
If congress has to reduce, postpone or eliminate its mandate for the use of alternative motor vehicle fuels (Renewable Fuels Standard) to end the plague of Ethanol, then congress needs to do that until an alternative motor vehicle fuels is developed that is compatible with our vehicles, small tools, & marine engines as well as the current pipeline & retail station infrastructure.

I believe ethanol is far too susceptible to phase separation to be used practically as a transportation fuel.

Ethanol for fuel should be halted. Lets make food for the people. There are many people in this country who are literally starving, and they use corn to make fuel. Feed the people and animals. Don't use corn to drive up prices for many other items then hide them to show little inflation.

Pasture is the best way to feed, not grain. I understood that after the grain was processed for ethanol it could still be used for feed? They should be able to tune new vehicles to run on ethanol, in fact Ford developed the first vehicles to run on ethanol until Standard Oil convinced him to switch. If we make more flex fuel then the blend should not matter.
