My favorite station jumped prices 21 cents overnight; wouldn't be surprised to see $5/gal soon esp. in light of Hurrican Isaac

With today's crude oil price of $95.00 USD per barrel and the US dollar at 99¢ CAD, the price of regular unleaded gasoline in Ottawa, Ontario should be $1.12 per litre at normal profit margins.

At a price of $1.28 per litre, you are paying 16¢ per litre in pure excess profit. Across Canada, an extra margin of 16¢ per litre generates an additional profit of 16.42 million dollars per day.

No surprise when you have an anti-fossil fuel president like we do. He talks a big game, but actions speak louder than words for most of us. --Can't do anything about the 40% of Americans who are forever hypnotized by his Dope and Strange message.

fewer people will be vacationing on Labour Day... because of higher gas prices. This means they won't get much needed downtime and their attitudes will be less joyful at work...down the road...

Local price is around $3.95 for regular at all of the local stations. This should really depress most business during the big holiday weekend.

Gas is up 34 cents in five days here, now $3.99, could be closer to 4.25 by the time we get the Labor Day gouge.

You bet...let's recognize the contributions of the labor work force in this country by making their weekend miserable and pricing gas so high they can't afford it.
