Gas prices surge almost 10 cents over past 2 weeks

Sacramento Bee -- The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has increased by 9.5 cents over the past two weeks, the first price rise since April.

The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices on Sunday put the average price for a gallon of regular at $3.51.

Analyst Trilby Lundberg says even with the increase, the price remains 46 cents below the April 6 peak of $3.97.

Nationally, a gallon of mid-grade averages $3.66 and premium $3.78

Jackson, Miss., has the nation's lowest price at $3.18, while Long Island, N.Y., had the highest at $3.83.

funny how this topic stayed, but "20 ways to save money this summer" was pulled by the GB gods... must have been something they wanted to write about and didn't like that someone already did?

Gas prices surge is not good – gas prices are up like like a rocket, down like a feather! Our local gas prices went up but have come back down to what It was about one month ago. I would like to see gas prices continue to drop but the gas price gods may not let that happen. The trend is always up with fuel prices. The price at the pump needs to go down to $2/gallon, $3 to $3.50/gallon is Not the new low! Ethanol is not wanted or needed!
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

Ten cents up or down doesn't seem like a lot compared to the current price.
