Gas stations still trying to conceal prices

Orlando Sentinel -- Technically, the city won. The gas stations finally followed city code and put up signs with their outrageous prices, though the signs are about as helpful to potential customers as a nail in the tire.

They are impossible to see from Semoran Boulevard and do little, if anything, to dissuade hapless drivers from pulling in and paying more than two bucks a gallon above the going rate.

"I think I got completely robbed," said Jay Gandhi, who was on his way last week to return his rental SUV and fly back to Houston. "I don't have a choice because I have a plane to catch."

Once they pull in they're pretty much stuck paying the price. I know it's their own fault for being late in the first place but this is just outright wrong. If it was me I think I'd take my changes paying the rental car company the extra cost of bringing it back without filling it up.... might be cheaper in the long run. Park their butts right in front of both stations on "city" land with big signs that warn customers of the ridicules prices. That should piss the station owner off in a hurry and should cut their business to almost nothing in a hurry.

Although I've taken lots & lots of trips by air, I've never been scammed like this. However, I always make plans to return my rental car very, very early to avoid traffic problems, etc. Guess that's why I always had plenty of time to find a good price (or at least, not an outrageous price).

Just use common sense. buy when price is low,
