For someone who hasn't done much (except sneaking by Obamacare under our noses) during his first term, don't count on it. More smooches with those b-word on the View maybe, but not much else.

Total garbage. Obama's war on the economy continues. Yet somehow there are people out there that think he is helping.

As much as the American people, to protect their life and health, requires reasonable regulations on these massive oil corporations, I doubt that anything will be done with the legislation being split.

It takes a long time to build an infrastructure. The long we linger in the old, the longer it takes to get to the new.

More political hype, even after the election. I agree, the subsidies need to be rolled back...

"I thought Conservatives would be ecstatic that he wants to cut gov't subsidies to business. I guess they like gov't subsidizing the oil industry.
Hypocrites."
===========================================================
Below, (FYI) Kowkisser, is a definition of "subsidy".
sub·si·dy [suhb-si-dee] Show IPA noun, plural sub·si·dies. 1. a direct pecuniary aid furnished by a government to a private industrial undertaking, a charity organization, or the like. 2. a sum paid, often in accordance with a treaty, by one government to another to secure some service in return. 3. a grant or contribution of money. 4. money formerly granted by the English Parliament to the crown for special needs.
True conservatives ARE opposed to granting sudsidies to any business. An example of a government subsidy would be when the FED LOANS money to a company where it never intends to get it back (Like Solyndra). Subsidies involve "theft", because a government does not have any money of its own without first taking it from one party and then giving it to another.
You might call it a redistribution of wealth (socialism); something akin to "legalized plunder". Another example of a subsidy would be when a government gives money to those who purchase an EV. This is like welfare for the rich, since poor families cannot afford such extravagance.
On the other hand, a "tax deduction" is when a government allows a company which invests money in a business venture and who LOSES this investment (such as an oil company which comes up with a "dry" well) to recapture this money in the form of a deduction from their tax liability to said government. This is to encourage such expenditures of money which is given to ALL mining operations (not just oil companies) in order to create jobs, make the cost of energy more affordable, etc.
So you see, Kowkisser, Conservatives DO, in fact, dislike "subsidies" but LIBERALS (who rail against oil companies for taking legitimate tax deductions and term them as "subsidies") actually PROMOTE the government's giving of subsidies (especially to themselves).
Hypocrites.

He was re-elected democratically by Americans. He can most definitely introduce harsher regulations. Just pray that he does not flush another $90 billion down the toilet on his dogmatic renewable energy program giving loan guarantees to companies like Solyndra and Solar 1.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

What are we supposed to believe? When Bush was President they said it would take 10+ years to get new oil into production but now it will happen in the next four years?
