In California, expect a large increase in gas prices.

The price jump is just a bunch of speculative manipulation. Gasoline inventory for the west coast was up slightly this week and had only dropped slightly last week so apparently this refinery is NOT a crucial supplier.

I really wish the Government had it's own refinery sitting right next to each strategic oil supply field... that way if a refinery goes down, another could be brought on line, albeit temporarily, to stabalize the marketplace. ...but that would be asking a bit much... huh?

Who do they think they're kidding? We know that a fire in a (wastebasket in a restroom at a) refinery in California means that the pump price on the east coast will increase by at least 35-40 cents/gallon within a couple of weeks.

Should not raise prices at all and seldom did in the "Old Days" BUT we are in differents times so they will raise prices as much as they think the public can stand - not afford - but STAND!
